50 Things I'm Not Buying in 2022
Over the years, we’ve made some major changes to our shopping habits to decrease our environmental impact, but also to help our wallets. Some of these items we may have never even began purchasing in the first place, but maybe grew up using. Between inflation, the cost of living, gas prices, bills, student loans, I mean you name it, we’ve learned to cut down quite a bit! Over the years, we’ve learned to make many things ourselves, grow our own food and preserve it, and so much more. Not only can it save you money, but making your own items put you in control of the materials used to create them. So we’ve cut down on unnecessary toxins and plastics to promote a healthier home life. If you need a more in-depth reason as to why we have cut down on some of these items, I explain it all in my YouTube video!
Just because we don’t buy some of these, doesn’t mean we live without. Some of these we make ourselves, as I’ve mentioned. Some of these we have reusable alternatives for. There are SO many items we have decided to stop buying, I could probably go one forever. But, this will be quite a lengthy list, I’ve stopped myself at 50, and you might not agree with all of them. That’s okay! You don’t need to drop all of these to live for the planet. Do what works best for you. Some of these things you may need to do more research in before decided to make the switch, maybe some of them you can quite afford to switch to yet, that’s all okay too.
