What's In My Camera Bag?

I can’t believe it’s been almost 6 years since my first paying photography gig! Over the years, I’ve been able to learn the ins-and-outs of my camera equipment and my wish-list is still growing! So without further adieu, here is a list of equipment I personally use and keep in my camera bag.

Cameras:

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV (my main camera)

Cannon Rebel T3i (my backup camera - though it’s been discontinued, you can find used ones or the latest Cannon EOS Rebel T8i Here)

Google Pixel 3 (for Instagram stories and candid shots)

GoPro Hero (for underwater photography and travel videos)

Lenses:

Canon EF 35MM F/2 (my go-to lens, perfect for lifestyle & everyday photography)

Canon EF-S18-55mm (great starter lens for beginners!)

Canon EF 50mm 1.8 (my favorite lens for portraits)

Canon EF 70-300mm (ideal for distance images, I use this for portraits & other wildlife)

Computer:

Asus 2-in-1 Laptop (for travel & easy access)

Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop (grab my presets & filters here)

Storage:

Google & OneDrive (for cloud backup)

SD Cards:

Multiple SanDisk 32GB or 64GB SD cards

SD Card Holder (perfect for keeping SD cards safe)

Flash:

Electric Flash (perfect for indoor photography)

If you are just starting out, don’t feel pressured or overwhelmed by this list! My first few cameras were the disposable film cameras from our local Drug Store. Then my dad got us both refurbished, point-and-shoot, cameras one year. A good photographer can still take amazing photographs without expensive equipment. But, sometimes it doesn’t hurt to pay for the right items (or in my case, ask for them as gifts).
