BYOC Co.: Emma started a pop-up stand and just recently opened a permanent location in Ann Arbor. Her store sells bulk shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, toothpowder, laundry detergent, all-purpose cleaner, dish soap, castile soap, dishwasher powder, deodorant, dryer balls, and so much more!

By the Pound: You can pick up food items from dried goods to liquids (such as olive oil, sesame oil, soy sauce, vanilla extract, local honeys and molasses), and it is encouraged to bring your own containers.

HopCat: Bring your grower to fill up with beer on tap.

People’s Food Co-Op: Head here for fresh nut butter, honey, and dry goods (grains, beans, nuts, tea, spices, and even candy!) in bulk.

Battle Creek

Bloomfield Hills

Canton

Dearborn

Hashems Roastery and Market: You can find bulk spices, grains, coffee, dried fruits, and flour.

Detroit

Dexter

Bee Joyful Shop: The first zero-waste, plastic-free store in Michigan (originally in Kalamazoo, now open in Dexter) offering various tools for sustainable changes at home, a refill station with laundry detergent, hand and dish soap, bulk shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorants, face masks, dry shampoo, toothpaste tabs, apothecary, kombucha on tap, and a Flowater station.

East Lansing

The Cheese People of Grand Rapids: A locally owned cheese warehouse for a farm located in Chicago. They are now opening new locations around the United States, but you can also find them at your local farm markets. - I reached out to them about using your own containers and they said “We do not allow a customer to use their own packaging at the time of the sale, due to food and COVID protocols. However, they can always repackage later at their own convenience to the desire that they’d most like.”
