Black Rocks, Marquette, Michigan Photographer | Kaitlin + Hugh's Micro Wedding
I always begin my client consultations with a set of questions to get to know more about my clients or couples. Within the first 3 questions, I knew this was going to be an amazing couple to work with.
Kaitlin + Hugh met through a mutual friend at Faster Horses and get this… Hugh proposed while skydiving. WHAT?! How freaking cool is that! Their adventurous spirit, passion towards each other, and laid back vibe was contagious throughout the whole day. It didn’t feel like I was photographing someone I had only talked through zoom or email, I felt like I was photographing childhood friends.
We all met in Marquette at the Black Rocks and had a gorgeous ceremony while people jumped into Lake Superior behind them. Kaitlin did the most intimate first look with her father, then we snuck away after family pictures for photographs of just the couple on the Black Rocks and at the Ore Docks before they met back up with their family for dinner.
This whole day reminded me so much of my own wedding in Copper Harbor, so dreamy and full of love.
