During our 2021 visit, my husband stopped into Heaven on a Roll for a plate of their BBQ ribs, baked beans, and mac. To finish it off, he got one of their fresh made peach dessert! We also heard they had amazing sweet potato fries, so I got an order of those to go with my meal.
I know not to expect to many plant based options when we go to events like these. But we overhead D.G. Gourmet truck had a plant based option! I was able to find a black bean burger, and it was quite delicious.
Afterwards, we headed to family fun time. Our daughter had a blast in the bouncy houses and getting to sit in the Emergency Response vehicles.
After listening to some music, we got a refreshing lemonade and fresh mini donuts! The Detroit Mini Donut truck always had a long line, so we knew they had to be good.
The best part of this night, was that we were able to walk over to the playground and waterpark where we finished our night. Westland’s Blues, Brews, and Barbecue is definitely a festival on our list of traditions!
Will you be visiting the festival? What was your favorite food truck?
