Winter Retreat Chocolay Cabin | Marquette, Michigan
A few months ago, we took a long trip from Metro-Detroit, up to Marquette for a rustic winter getaway. There was almost no cell service so it was nice to be able to turn everything off and just enjoy each other’s company. We stayed at the Chocolay Cabin through Airbnb, and I just can’t get over how beautiful the cabin was! The coloring was gorgeous and everything was comfortable. And I just loved how open the space was. Setting the table for breakfast, enjoying the river, and having the fireplace running was my absolute favorite way to start the morning. The cabin had all the amenities we needed, even a little crock-pot. The cabin sleeps two, making it the perfect romantic getaway, it even has a sauna. Although, we did have Evelyn and we use this Fold n Go travel bassinet to give her a comfortable space all to her own. The location is also great because the cabin is down a nice secluded road, but it’s just a drive away from downtown Marquette. Our stay here was too short and I can’t wait to return!

Here’s a few extra detail shots from our stay because the atmosphere was just so cozy! Also, the original door facing the river was massive and I fell in love with it!
